Music of Ethiopia has quite a long history and tradition. The following are clips of the liturgical music of the Ethiopian church. The Ethiopian church has two forms of liturgical music. One of which is accompanied by flutes and othe traditional instruments. The other is a chant to commemorate a religious holiday or event.

The Afar who live in Northern Ethiopia also have a long music tradition. Afar music has a great deal of Arab influence but retains a traditional Ethiopian style. The following clips have been provided by Wetter.
