The Umfolozi Game Reserve is a 48,000 hectare reserve located in Northern Kwazulu Natal, near Mtubatuba. The reserve connects to the Hluhluwe Reserve via an 8 km wide strip of land extending 21,000 hectares and known as the "Umfolozi-Hluhluwe Corridor". Together, the two reserves and the corridor cover an area of about 100,000 hectares. The reserve consists largely of hilly country and floodplains along the Black and White Umfolozi Rivers.
