The Lochinvar National Park is located in western Zambia and is a fantastic bird sanctuary with over 400 species of birds. It occupies an area of over 410 square kilometers of flood plains on the south bank of the Kafue River. Visitors are welcome throughout the year, and accommodation is offered at a lodge. A small network of roads is present in the park, but visitors must carry their own food and petrol. Apart from the birds, animals like the blue wildebeest, zebra and hippo can be found. Precautions need to be taken against malaria.
