ICT Skills for Principals

Write a good news note (Beginner level)

As a principal there will be times when you want to inform a parent about the accomplishment of a learner or to reward a learner for work well done. You will be able to create a good news note using Microsoft Word.

By the end of this task you could achieve the following outcomes:

Download an example - Change page margins
- Insert WordArt
- Change an image position
- Change the text position in the line
- Print a document

Create your own good news note - one which you will find useful. Alternatively, follow this example. To do so you would typically work through the following steps:

1. Start Microsoft Word. See how »
2. Change the margins: Your note will not occupy the full page width. Set a larger left and right margin. See how »

7. Type the text
8. Change the text position on the line: You may want some text to be in the centre or to the right of the page. See how »
