Adelie Penguins go southwards
across the cold Antarctic to breed. Some penguins travel 100 km or more
to reach their rookeries. The Adelie penguins' main grounds are Antarctica
and the North Pole where there is pack ice.
The Emperor Penguins live on the South Coast of Antarctica. The King penguin lives in Antarctica too. Galapagos penguins are the only penguins who live on the Equator and they also live on the island of Isabela. Penguins also live on the warmer coasts of South America, Australia and New Zealand. The Jackass penguin lives on the coast of Africa. |
