When it was placed under the microscope nothing could not be seen.

Dr. Begely: We almost couldn't make this one out... It was only visible under the electron microscope...I'm certain it's a virus. There are no other such things on Earth this small... it's unmistakably a virus.

Dr. Shelly: No, ... we can't be certain. In some cases, bacteria can be as small as viruses. We should filter the material and expose it to alcohol and formalin like Biejernick did, to see if it kills or removes the infectious agent. Then we can be sure.

Again we've got a strong affirmation and a strong denial of this microbe's viral classification. Which doctor has his/her facts straight this time?

I agree with Doc Begely. In the lab we could only see this one in the electron microscope! That makes it a virus, no doubt about it.

I believe we should filter it and expose it to the alcohol and formalin tests, just to make sure.
