Many of the buildings in Cuba are now very old.  In Old Havana, some date centuries back to the early colonial days.  Now, many buildings have not been cared for that were built in the pre-Revolutionary days.  Many of these buildings are falling apart and need to be fixed.  There are also housing brigades which build buildings.  Mainly in the outskirts of town, or in rural areas, these groups build new houses for the members of the brigades.
