On this trip's fifth day, you will first visit a museum about the attack on Playa Girón. The museum contains guns, a plane, a tank, and photos and biographies of all the Cuban soldiers, militiamen, and police that died fighting against the attack.
The next stop will be at a nearby beach. The beach has a long swimming area, which is protected from the ocean by a long rocky edge. There are many fish there.
After that, you will return to Havana to walk along the Malecón. This long street follows the waterfront along the city. There are many deteriorating buildings along it today.
The last stop is the Museum of the Revolution. Now housed in what was once the Presidential Palace, this museum details the long struggle of the revolutionaries. |
