Adobe Youth Voices (AYV) is a global philanthropic initiative that empowers youth world wide to comment on their world using multimedia and digital tools to communicate and share their ideas, exhibit their potential, and take action in their communities. Adobe Youth Voices employs an integrated approach in and out of the classroom to show the power of technology in learning and to enable middle and high school aged youth to think creatively, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively – critical 21st Century skills.
The initiative engages youth in exploring and commenting on their world using video, multimedia, digital art, web, animation, and audio; enhances the skills and knowledge of educators to use these tools more effectively with youth; and widely exhibits the resulting youth work in community, broadcast, and online forums.
In South Africa, a total of 12 teachers each year coordinate learners in their schools to participate in this programme. For more information see this information sheet:
