Writing Stories Using Clip Art

This is what happened:

This teacher of special needs learners in Denmark was trying to find a way in which to interest her learners in reading and writing. She thought of the idea to use clip art as the basis of stories. The learners learnt how to dismantle clip art and construct new pictures. They then composed stories for younger learners and printed these in colour booklets. They were so proud of their work that delivered the books to the kindergarten class and read the young learners their stories.

Commentary:

This is another excellent example of how content can be developed in an interesting medium. The fact that the learners were developing this content for younger learners in their school community, and that these booklets could be used in other schools, means that this is also a good example of community benefit.
