Commentary:

Using GIS is still regarded as innovative in most schools in this country. The learners were active and engaged, which is good, but their focus was on their teacher's forthcoming cycle tour. the were able to generate content for their teachers and her cycling group, but it was not more widely applicable. This example does not demonstrate any of the themes. Had the learners used the GIS to help address some community issues, it would have been an example of community involvement.
