Create a multimedia lesson introduction (Intermediate level)

As an educator, you may like to make your lessons more exciting. Using Microsoft PowerPoint, you can make visually exciting and colourful slide shows with animations, sound and video clips. Use your creativity to build presentations to your requirements. Presentations can be easily edited and enhanced for future needs.

By the end of this task you could achieve the following outcomes:

Download an example - Create a slide show
- Draw diagrams on the slide
- Insert picture from source other than clipart
- Insert sound and movie clips
- Provide different pathways through a presentation

Create your own multimedia presentation - one which you will find useful. Alternatively, follow this example. To do so you would typically work through the following steps:

1. Start Microsoft PowerPoint. See how »
2. Create a slide show: Create the basic slideshow with text and images. Choose a slide design. Apply animation to text and between slides. See how »
3. Save the slide show: Remember to save your presentation at regular intervals. See how »
4. Draw diagrams on a slide: You may like to draw lines, shapes and diagrams, such as organisation charts. See how »
5. Insert a sound file or a movie clip: You can find sound files and movie clips in the Clip Art gallery or on the Internet.

6. Insert action buttons: You can allow several paths through a slide show by providing interactive buttons. See how »
7. Insert a hyperlink: You can use almost anything on the slide as a link to another part of the slide show, including text, drawn pictures and Clip Art. See how »
