Street children come to Micklefield

The Show that the street children prepared was a great show!    When they did this, I really felt happy that they took the time and commitment to do this for us.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and I loved the joy that spread around the whole room. (Morgan)

The beat of the drums with the voices and the smiling faces looking at the people.  Joy spread on their faces when we gave them the food.   You could feel the animal's skin while you were drumming, your hands were working harder and harder. (Annabel)

There were people on stilts wearing masks and brightly coloured clothing
(Morgan)
They decorated masks with the strips of colour
(Annabel)
There were drummers playing African music (Morgan)
We clapped to the beat and watched them act.  We all really enjoyed it!

You have reached what others could not.  You have done what others thought not.  We know that you know how to do things like drumming and painting and walking on stilts.  The world is round and you should be proud that you did drumming and painting and walking on stilts. (Sara)
