We, at Micklefield, have a wide range of sports and we all participate in gym classes.
During winter we play netball and hockey which are much enjoyed. To keep ourselves fit we can run cross-country.
In summer we play tennis, volleyball and rounders (similar to softball). If we wish, we may take swimming lessons.
We take part in a 'Mini Olympics' which is held every four years. This is to coincide with the Olympic Games and we compete with other schools for medals in a variety of sports. There is an opening ceremony where we march into the stadium behind our school banner.
Sports' Day is an annual event and all girls participate. There are 3 houses, Swallows, Kingfishers and Robins. At the end of the day one or even two houses go home with the Spirit Cup and the Sports Cup.
Micklefield definitely doesn't have any sore losers.
