When you start MS Word you are faced with a blank screen with a number of toobars visible. Usually these are the Standard toolbar, Formatting toolbar and the Drawing toolbar, but this does differ from computer to computer.
This example will show how to add the Equation Editor icon to your standard toolbar.
1. Click on View | Toolbars | Customize
The Customize window opens.
2. Click on Insert in the left-hand pane.
3. Scroll down the list in the right-hand pane until you see Equation Editor.
4. Drag and drop the item from the window into the standard toolbar at the top of the screen.
From this point on you can use Equation Editor by clicking on the icon.
