An object such as a picture can be made to link to another web page, on the World Wide Web or a file on your computer.

It is wise to make the picture a link and make a text link somewhere near it, as well.

To make a picture into a hyperlink

Select the picture to made into a hyperlink.  Click on the hyperlink icon on the menu bar.

The Create Hyperlink dialogue box opens.  To make a link to a page in the current web or on your computer, click on the icon indicated at the bottom of the dialogue box.  To make a link to a site on the World Wide Web click on the world globe icon.

Find and select the file required.

The web page selected for the hyperlink is the School Mission Statement file.  Click OK.  Save the file.

The picture is hyperlinked to the same file as the text hyperlink near it.  When viewed on the Internet with Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer the viewer has a choice of hyperlinks.

Hyperlinked text normally appears blue.  In this case it is not blue as it has been given a Theme.
