FrontPage - Inserting hyperlinks from
a picture to another web page
An object such as a picture can be made to link to another web
page, on the World Wide Web or a file on your computer.
It is wise to make the picture
a link and make a text link somewhere near it, as well.
To make a picture into a hyperlink
Select the picture to made
into a hyperlink. Click on the hyperlink icon on the
menu bar.
The Create Hyperlink dialogue
box opens. To make a link to a page in the current web
or on your computer, click on the icon indicated at the bottom
of the dialogue box. To make a link to a site on the
World Wide Web click on the world globe icon.
Find and select the file required.
The web page selected for the
hyperlink is the School Mission Statement file. Click
OK. Save the file.
The picture is hyperlinked
to the same file as the text hyperlink near it. When
viewed on the Internet with Netscape Navigator or Internet
Explorer the viewer has a choice of hyperlinks.
Hyperlinked text normally appears
blue. In this case it is not blue as it has been given
a Theme.
