Developing classroom resources for science

5. Creating a lesson integrating ICT

2 hours

In this activity you will be creating your final lesson integrating ICT. If you do not have computers at your school you will be preparing printed resources for your lesson. You should be drawing on all the knowledge, skills, and ideas you have developed through this course to create a dynamic science resource.

Follow these steps to complete these activities. Look for contexts that are meaningful to you in your classroom.

Work on your own but in contact with a partner (60 minutes).

  • Prepare any materials that you may need to support the lesson. Use the ideas that you have gained in the last five workshops. Use any tools that you find appropriate and within your ability.

For each activity you should make sure that:
  • It is clear what you expect your learners to do.
  • You have collected all the resources you need (ICT-resources, worksheets, models, equipment and tools for practical tasks, etc).
Note: You do not need to develop all these resources. Some may already be available on the Internet or on CDs.
  • Layout and format each of your activities and include some graphics to make them more attractive to your learners.
